SCOURING, BLEACHING & WETTING AGENT
SCOURING agent refers to a large number of auxiliaries with functions of emulsifying, penetrating, washing and dispersing in the scouring process before dyeing and printing, to remove oil stains, waxes, pectins and impurities from the textile fibres and makes the textile material hydrophilic or water absorbent.
BLEACHING agent is applied to remove pigments and natural dyes that are in the fibres to give a sort of colouration. Bleaching of textiles can be classified into oxidative bleaching and reductive bleaching.
WETTING agents the major objective of wetting agent is to reduce the surface tension with the help of different surface-active chemicals. They are used before the applications of different costly chemicals to make the textile processing cost-effective.
